Welcome to Mr. Fons's US History Class
Assignment 2: due Thursday, September 5 at class time.
Your first assignment for the class is to enrol at the textbook website because we will be using it on a regular basis throughout the year.
Go to the Henretta Sixth edition site and click on "Student register" and fill in your email, name, password, password hint and my email address: fonscy@yahoo.com.
The system does not accept numbers for passwords, please use a password without numbers.
As proof that you have signed in I would like you to take the Chapter 1 Self Test I and submit it. You get there by clicking on "Online Study Guide" then "Chapter 1: Worlds Collide: Europe, Africa, and America, 1450-1620" and then "Chapter 1 Self-Test 1" under "Chapter-wide Resources".
You can find the answers in Chapter 1 of your textbook. Email me at fonsca@gmail.com* if you have any questions about the assignment.
*Note: this Gmail address is different from the Yahoo address you must use to sign in for the textbook. Comment below about what you think of the class so far or the assignment.

Spring Break
When we return from Spring Break we will only have 5 weeks to go before the AP Exam.
Because of the tight time schedule we will need to cover a lot of material in the coming weeks.
With this in mind I am assigning 2 generalizations due on the Tuesday we return from break, April 9.
Chapter 24 Generalizations and Terms
Chapter 25 Generalizations and Terms
Review sessions will begin after break. They will be every Saturday at 8-10 AM in room 309. During the week I will stay after on Mondays and Tuesdays for an hour.
If you are taking the exam you should be practicing tests found at AP Central. You should also be practicing multiple choice questions either at the Henretta site or at the US Quiz Main Page.
